Students of Sudan Elementary sold 524 items and saved 52.4 acres in the first year that we participated in

the rescue program.  This money will be used by the Nature Conservancy and Earth Foundation

to purchase/protect acres in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica.

After studying about rainforests, one hallway and a bulletin board in the library were turned into a

rainforest.  For a week, the K-3 students gave tours of the rainforest to families and friends.
