JH Math Teacher/Coach

Sudan ISD is currently seeking a certified teacher for a JH Math teaching position. Qualifications: Texas Teacher Certification with required endorsements, demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area. status in subject area.
Performance Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum & instruction
Possess excellent classroom management skills
Possess strong organizational and communication skills
Effectively work with and challenge students at varying skill levels
Extra duties as assigned such as UIL, JH Graduation, etc.
Salary/Incentives:
$7350 above base
$10,000 life insurance
$510/month towards health insurance

7-12 Art Teacher

Sudan High School is currently searching for a professional teacher for the position of Art. Valid Texas Certification is required in the appropriate field or in a preparatory program along with a bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of assigned curriculum and instruction along with management of students is required. Strong organizational/communication/interpersonal skills are needed for this position. Responsibilities will include the planning and delivery of lessons, applying appropriate instructional strategies, using and teaching the use of tools and technology as it applies to the teaching assignment, working cooperatively with all school programs and staff, being a positive role model for students, establishing and maintaining a professional relationship and open communication with parent/colleagues/community members, and supporting the mission of the school district. Teaching assignments will be 7 th grade art, 8 th grade art, Art 1, Art 2, Art 3, Art 4. Experience is preferred but not required.

Elementary Music Teacher/Assistant Band Director

Sudan ISD is currently seeking a certified teacher for a music/band position. Sudan Elementary is comprised of highly motivated and collaborative staff that educates each student for success.  Sudan is a school that boasts a proud tradition along with rigorous standards.  If you are a person who desires to work with the best and be the best, Sudan is the place for you. Sudan is a competitive 2A school with great support from parents and the district. Our elementary students love doing performances in the fall and spring and have had an excellent start with music. Our program is on fire as far as building its successes. Qualifications: Texas Teacher Certification with required endorsements, demonstrated competency in the chosen field.
Performance Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:
- Elementary duties will be PreK-3rd and team-teaching 4th grade with the head director.
- Assistant duties include work team teaching 5th grade beginning band, JH band, and HS band.
- Possess excellent classroom management skills
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills
- Effectively work with and challenge students at varying skill levels
Program Information:
- 4th grade start on Nuvo Toots and Doods as well as Pbuzz and percussion.
- 5th grade band begins the year on actual instruments.
- JH band is made up of all 6th graders and a mix of 7th graders.
- 8 th grade is combined with HS.

Substitute Teacher

Sudan ISD is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with
students at all levels, from Pre-K to high school.
