Elementary Special Education Teacher

Sudan ISD is currently seeking a certified teacher for a special education teaching position. Social Studies Teacher/Assistant Coach

Job Title: Social Studies/Assistant Coach Sudan High School is currently searching for a professional teacher for the position of Secondary Social Studies and Coaching Duties. Valid Texas Certification is required in the appropriate field or in a preparatory program along with a bachelorís degree. Knowledge of assigned curriculum and instruction along with management of students is required. Strong organizational/communication/interpersonal skills are needed for this position. Responsibilities will include the planning and delivery of lessons, applying appropriate instructional strategies, using and teaching the use of tools and technology as it applies to the teaching assignment, working cooperatively with all school programs and staff, being a positive role model for students, establishing and maintaining a professional relationship and open communication with parents/colleagues/community members, and supporting the mission of the school district. Teaching assignment will be Social Studies. Experience is preferred but not required. Elementary Paraprofessional Position

Sudan ISD is currently seeking a paraprofessional for an elementary position. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
Job Goals:
Under direct supervision, performs duties that may be instructional in nature or may deliver direct services to students or parents.
May provide specialized assistance for students with special needs.
Act as a nurturing and encouraging influence for students. Performance Responsibilities:
Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals, working with classrooms, small groups of children, or an individual child.
Assists teacher(s) in the enforcement of classroom programs including classroom management, behavior management, and instructional plans, while creating an environment that is appropriate for learning.
Assists teacher(s) with the implementation of differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
Help meet the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in the special education setting as required. Some responsibilities might include (but are not limited to) positioning, lifting, transferring, restraining, etc.)
Assists with supervising students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events/programs, and before/after school duties.
Monitor the classroom and educational environment while minimizing distractions and disruptions.
Attend staff and team meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements:
