2013 Band Trip Photos
The band has advanced to the UIL State Marching contest 8 times during the past 23 years, coming in 1st in 1990, 4th in 1995, 6th in 1999, 3rd in 2001, 5th in 2003, 3rd in 2005 , 8th in 2007, and 5th in 2011 They appeared in the State Honor Band contest receiving 5th in 1992, 6th in 2001, 2nd in 2003, and 4th in 2005. The Bold Gold Band has advanced to state several times in the Outstanding Performance Series contest. Additionally, numerous solo and ensemble awards have been received. The band has also placed many students in region, area, and state bands. For over 25 years, the band has consistently enrolled over 50% of all students in grades 8-12 in the band program.
