It's all about the journey

SHS maintains a plethora of curricular and extra-curricular activities forged in the fire of success and built on a history of rich tradition. It is never our plan to supplant the role of the parent, but rather to strategically supplement the student's life experiences with professional instruction and guidance. Through our Student Parent Information Network (SPIN), PTO, booster clubs, site based meetings, and parent teacher conferences; our door is always open and sympathetic to the parents and their wisdom. With classes ranging from Architectural Design, Agriculture, Child Development, College Math, Drone Aviation, AP Computer Science, Music, Art, Theatre and more; the student's curiosity and ambitions are provided with endless possibilities.

We maintain a vast array of technolgical educational hardware and software. We average two computers per student.  Other devices include drones and virtual reality head sets. Our technology initiatives foster student success. SHS graduates include multiple college and university presidents, a plethora of doctors, lawyers, military officers, engineers, actors, artists, archeologists (including the real Indiana Jones), programmers, a plethora of teachers, clergy, musicians, welders, mechanics, and many more. We do not sit and watch the global economy, we actively and assertively engage and prepare students for success.

Even before recent legislation and trends, Sudan ISD has always maintained secure and safe campuses. From locking video monitored main entry doors, to the scores of video cameras, interior carded door locks, and Internet access filtering; we keep safety at the forefront. Additionally, Sudan ISD administers random drug testing of students in grades 7-12, through the Sudan ISD Deterrent to the Use of Drugs policy.  Almost 100 percent of students in 7-12 participate in random drug testing.   All of this is correlated by the Sudan ISD Police Dept. Chief, Chris Weston.  It is our endeavor to ensure a safe and comfortable learning enviornment.  If you have any questions about our excellent security system, please feel free to stop by and visit with Chief Weston.
